Running

Amber and I ran a 5K this weekend as Disney. Mike was signed up to run too, but he ended up having to stay with the kids - next one is for him! I started training for this race around the first of the year, but quickly fell off - and hadn't run in about 3 weeks, so I knew the race would be tough. I did okay for the first mile, but then fell off. Its okay, I finished with sore muscles, but I did finish! My time was around 34:00.

It was an early morning, we had to leave the house at 5:30 a.m. - so we had to wake the girls. They were good at first, but then Reilly got super crazy from being tired!

After the adult race, the kids did a 100 yard race - they had numbers and shirts - it was so cute. Poor Marek got run over by some kid in the middle of the race, so he was pretty bummed out. But they both were so cute!

Reilly and Brooke were laying around watching Diego the other night while we were getting dinner ready. Brooke was talking away, so I grabbed some quick video.

When the girls get up on the earlier side, they tend to hang out in our bed while we get ready. Reilly is all about being with Brooke right now - and I think this snuggly pictures are so cute!

Cousin Fallon's Birthday Party

Today we went to cousin Fallon's birthday party at a race track. Reilly had the best time riding in cars with mommy and daddy and then playing with her cousins.

This morning Reilly and Brooke were hanging out watching "shows" - first Blue's Clues then Go, Diego, Go! They were so cute all cuddled up.

Saturday night at home

Saturday night the adults stayed home for Wii and Weight Watchers night. Jaime, Tayler, Amber and Kevin all came over to play bowling (Yep, this is Saturday night in Suburbia ;-) ). While we were busy having a great time - Reilly was playing with Marek - first dinner, then movies, then a little dress up.

Wrong End, Rachel!

Rachel was hanging out with Brooke during lunch the other day - and this is how I found her! How on earth did Reilly make it through with Rachel watching her as a baby?!? ;-)

Reilly's First Haircut

Reilly got her very first haircut today. She went to mommy's salon instead of the kids haircut place... a decision we weren't sure about until we got to the salon and Reilly had a BLAST! Here's a video of her experience!

Brooke is 4 Months Old

Brooke is growing up - she is 4 months old. She is sleeping well and loves to laugh and smile. She lights up whenever Reilly walks in the room. Here are a couple pictures.






3 Months Old

We have a sleeper!!

I hope I am not omening myself by writing this. But it appears that Brooke is a sleeper. Don't get me wrong, Reilly wasn't a bad sleeper. But I definitely didn't realize what a good sleeper could be like until now. At almost four months old, Brooke is sleeping through the night for the most part. Last night, in fact, she slept 11.5 hours. What a dream!!

Exersaucer

Brooke is almost four months old now and is growing up before our eyes. She is sleeping through the night 80% of the time, smiling, laughing and beaming when Reilly, Mommy and Daddy walk in the room.

Last night we put her in the exersaucer for the first time and she loved it. We didn't seem to get a picture of her looking like she is enjoying it, but she did ;-)

Playing Together

Brooke was laying down this morning *playing* with her toys. And by playing, I mean looking at them ;-). Reilly came back from dance class and wanted to play with her. So she went and got her pink pillow and laid next to her and showed her how to play. It was very cute!

Ali, Devon and Braylon are in town!

We were so excited to hear that Ali, Devon and Braylon were coming to town for a Disney visit. We hadn't seen them since they moved to NJ 10 months ago! Reilly and Braylon were the best of friends when they met at 8 and 9 months old. Unfortunately, 10 months is a long time for a 2 year old and they didn't remember each other ;-(. But they quickly got friendly again and enjoyed playing basketball and running around after each other in the hotel room. Braylon was calling her Hailey (his cousin's name) and Reilly was calling him Brian (our neighbors name) - but all in all they had a great time. It was fun seeing how much Braylon has grown up -- and see him excited for his new baby coming in just a couple week!

And because you know I love to compare ;-) Here are Reilly and Braylon back when they met in March 2007 - two years ago!! They were so little!!!

Super Bowl!

We had a great time for the Super Bowl! A bunch of our friends came over with their kids. First, the Goldberg's came over while we baked and cooked. Reilly had a great time playing with Allison. Then they sat and watched Nemo. I didn't do a great job taking pictures, but I did snag a couple!

Later on, the kids enjoyed some chicken nuggets while we had grown-up food and drink.

Reilly is sick

Reilly is home sick today with a stomach virus. She is snuggling with me all day. Even though I know this probably means I am going to get sick...I am really enjoying the snuggle time.
