Visits from Tory

Tory works with Mike and I - but she is in DC. She hasn't been down in some time...so Brooke was excited to meet her! In fact, she was the first person to visit Reilly in the hospital, so she knows our family well! Here is a quick picture of Tory and Brooke getting to know each other.

Brooke's Song Fest

I've been meaning to edit the video for this one...but since I haven't yet...here is a quick post!

The infant classes at the school had a Song Fest. Pretty silly, I know, since they can't talk, let alone sing! But it was still fun. Each room had a theme. Brooke's room was the Mighty Ducks. Here she is with Layla all dressed up!

Garden Time

We are having a contest with the Gold's and Orr's - Who can grow the biggest pumpkin before Halloween. Sunday was planting day. Mike and Reilly went out and planted pumpkin seeds. After they did that, they were so excited they decided to make a bigger garden. They planted cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots and watermelon. Reilly loves going out every day and checking on them!

Brookie

Brooke is now just over 6 months old. This past week she has started sitting up and rolls over. Her new favorite thing is to lay on the floor chewing on her toys. As we were playing last night I realized that I just don't take as many pictures of her, so I started snapping. Here is a cute one!

She also has fallen in love with Buzz. She'll follow him around the room with her eyes. Here they are hanging out on the couch.

Sebastian's Fake Birthday Party

Reilly's friend Sebastian turned *fake* 4 this weekend. Yep, fake. He decided he wasn't going to potty train until he turned 4, so his mom told him he was 4! Pretty clever, huh?

Anyways, to celebrate, he had a little pool party. Here is Reilly playing with Sebastian in the pool. And a picture of Brooke in a bathing suit for the first time (Thanks Aunt Jenique and Uncle Brad!). She didn't mind dipping her toes in the pool, but she didn't like going in deeper than that!

Sharing a crib??

Reilly's new thing is to get in the crib with Brooke...she just climbs right in. Here is a cute video from this morning.

Brooke Meets Sippy Cup

The Easter Bunny most have known that Brooke was ready - he brought her two sippy cups! We tried giving it to her and she actually did pretty good! And she LOVED it, she got so upset every time she dropped it!

Happy 1/2 Birthday, Brooke!

Brooke is 6 months old today!!!

She went to the doctor for her check-up, she continues to grow off the chart for both height and weight. She weighs 22 pounds and measures 28.5 inches.

She has started to *almost* roll over this week. She rolls from her back to her tummy, but can't quite get that right arm in position to get ALL THE WAY over. But she is close! She can also now sit on her own for a minute or two at a time. She has started eating solid foods, but doesn't show too much interest. I get her to have a couple bites at dinner and thats it.

My friend Alison just had a beautiful baby boy, Andrew. And she has been awesome about updating her blog!! Today her post really touched me. She shared the song below and I told her I had to steal it. Every parent can relate, yet sometimes we forget to live in the moment!

Easter

So, putting together videos have been holding me up lately on updating the blog. I've decided that I don't need to do these in order ;-) so I am putting up a couple family Easter photos while I finish the Passover/Easter video. More to come!!

Reilly's Show

Reilly had her annual show at school. This year the theme was American Bandstand. All the kids did great! They got up on stage, sang and danced!

Cousins

While Grandpa Sweeney was here this weekend, we had a big family BBQ. We took a cute pictures of the cousins (who LOVED playing together), and *adopted* cousin, Marek!

Grandpa Sweeney is Here!

Grandpa Sweeney was here this weekend to spend time with his two granddaughters. Reilly had been looking forward to his visit for weeks! They went to Universal together, dance class, and hung out playing at the house. It was a fun weekend!

Family Milestones

We have had a rough week of sickness in this house, so we are behind on the blog. But we realized an interesting milestone this week. Brooke broke her first tooth (first two actually!) on March 26th - her oldest cousin, Devin's, 18th birthday! The start and end of childhood!
